Can KFC be serious?!

When I took up blogging, there were quite a few blogs that I found interesting and which I still look at read periodically. On one of them, I came across a post regarding a Racially Inclined KFC ad which has aired in their Australian Market which was 'inspired' by the fact that the West Indian cricket team is currently touring Australia.

Take a look:

Has KFC lost their mind? What are they implying?

"Anyone familiar with West Indian Cricket knows that West Indians come out to fete! Win, loose or draw, we celebrate. There are actually sections of every stadium in the Caribbean where 3/4 of the spectators do not watch the game, we have a party!"

Now what pisses me off is that in this ad, the lone Aussie in the picture says "Need a tip when you are stuck in an awkward situation?" Is it awkward to be around people having a good time? You want to give people KFC so they will settle down because you can't keep up? I have lost ALL respect for this company. Singling out people because of their cultural identity and behaviour just isn't right.

As far as I am concerned, KFC can hold they chicken. Bless

Quality Customer Service: Extinct?!

In today's mainstream society, a Customer disService Rep would tell you that the definition of a customer is the person who pays their salary. WRONG, I say. The Customer, in my opinion view, is the person with a CHOICE. The Choice the Customer has is a powerful one too... The choice of continuing to do business with you or taking their business elsewhere.

There are way too many business places today that seem not to give a shit flying fuck about the customer or their needs, can someone tell me why these places are in business anyway? the simplest answer I can come up with is from the Tootsie Pop commercial, "The world may never know!" This is a real tearjerker fucking sad, if you ask me.

What really pisses me off grinds my gears is when you walk into a store or business place and the employees are too busy having a casual conversation with their coworkers to even realize you are there. Sometimes when they do realize, they have a look of hate in their eyes as if they want to ask "How dare you come in here and interrupt my conversation?" It makes me wonder why I bothered wanting whatever it is that I wanted from the place I thought I wanted it from...

In a competitive marketplace as we live in today, one would imagine that business places should be bending over backwards to attract customers as no entity can be constituted as the "only coke in the desert". I am left in awe as we try to figure out why certain businesses which have absolutely no reason to fail tank as a result of their poor service.

There have been times where I have felt that I have been ill treated or spoken to in a condescending "fucked up" manner and I have made the CHOICE not to continue to do business with these places ever again. C'est la vie. That's just the way I feel about it. Bless.
