And 2011 is here...

What does 2011 bring? Many opportunities that we need to embrace. I have been blessed with some of the best friends that anyone could ask for. My peeps been there for me in good and bad, through thick and thin and for that I appreciate them so much.

I spent New Years Eve at an event called 'Nocturnal'. Aside from the fact that there was NO CLUB SODA at the bar, overall, I had a swell time and it was interesting to see so many people that I haven't seen in forever. Big up to Ray, Anthon, Mark and the entire NMI Crew on a job well done. Events Management is an artform that teaches through experience. As with any other event, valuable information is learned and skills perfected.

On a yearly basis, I use New Years Eve to party and at the same time reflect on the poor decisions I made the past year. Embrace the new opportunities that have presented themselves to me for the coming year. Weighing each one through its own merit and start the decision making process. I am really not into New Years Resolutions because on January 1st, when the drunk inebriation wears off, most of them are totally pointless!

I also want to congratulate my sister, Jellene Gore and her significant other, Dion Ferary on the birth of my niece, Mackenzie Diondra Jaila Ferary, she made her debut on January 3.

It's been a pretty ULTRA year thus far. I got some other great news on Friday which totally set the mood for things in store in 2011. Just can't wait to share it with each and everyone of you. May be a few more days before I can spill the beans but hold strain, I will update you soon.

Until we talk again, Be Good and if you must be naughty, be nice with it. Bless

...It's beginning to look a lot like...

...Christmas Empty pockets and maxed out credit cards!

As December is now here, the Commercialized world will now start to get ready for the biggest money waster ever, CHRISTMAS!

Christmas, which started as a Christian celebration in observence of the birth of Jesus Christ. Some smart BRILLIANT salesman somewhere convinced the world to exchange gifts and cards with all the people you love as well as those that you truly don't fancy fuckin' like! What a genius! What I would like to know, is "Where does Santa Claus fit in? Now the thing is, from a Christian standpoint, was he in the bible? How did he become the poster boy for such a celebration? Did the world loose focus? I think so! Trying my best not to come across as an absolute Scrooge, I am truly not that into Christmas, and haven't been for quite a few years, actually.

When looking at watching television at this time of year, it is clear to me that the main purpose of the exercise is to get the people of the world to spend fork out money on things they truly don't need, but rather, on things that companies, the mainstream media, and advertising agencies show in an attractive manner that makes people think "I WANT ONE!" With all that being said, where is Santa to pay the bill? Can we at least have his Credit Card number? Someone once told me that in Nigeria and other African Countries, friends give you a print out of credit card numbers so you can buy all the shit you want! Anyways, I've digressed... Moving on.

Where did this naughty and nice crap come from? Now, lets face it... Christmas is supposed to be the celebration of the birth of Baby Jesus, who later became the man who supposedly died for all our sins... Now, why would he care who was naughty or nice when it came to gift giving after he gave his own life for us? SMH, something I shall never understand...

Let me just throw in my disclaimer now, before any and all vultures jump on my ass... The views expressed here are that of my own, just that, MINE. If you don't agree, bless (I still don't care!)

All in all, I wish all of you the most joyous of Holiday Seasons as you enjoy being broke with the collection of fuckery that you have bought. I also wish all of you best of luck and success in paying that Visa bill come January 2011!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! Bless

Living the Caribbean Life...

Let me put out my disclaimer first and foremost... Just because many of you haven't seen me in a while doesn't mean I have lost my status as 'The ORIGINAL West Indian Socialite', I have just been very uber busy. RIGHT, so with that said, we move on...

Living in the West Indies can be rewarding yet equally challenging as you start to become familiar to too many people. I take joy sometimes at keeping a straight face and walking down the street, passing familiar faces just to see if they stop me and say "Why you passing me like that?" Interesting conversation can ensue thereon as you attempt to catch up with what has been happening in each others life and so on.

Recently, I have spent alot of quality alone me time as I have a big project that I am working on and hoping to roll out within the next few months at gradual stages. This is one of the many reasons that I haven't been seen or heard from in a minute or out and about for Halloween/Independence weekend. I did hear that there were some good parties, I am still trying to figure out since when Antigua celebrates Halloween on such a large scale but oh well.

So, what's happening this weekend, hmmm. I have a obligation, or at least so I am told, to be in St. Kitts this Friday for the Fhunn Vybes Launch at 5pm in Independence Square. You better believe that I will be on the last plane bound for Antigua as Ultra is on Friday Night at Abracadabra. An Ultra cast bringing you Ultra Vibes!

Saturday Night, hmmm...Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. I typically don't plan normal weekends, I just go with the flow.

Sometimes, I think I should go back to the hustle and bustle of bigger North American cities but why would I want to leave the beach behind? Bless
